More money to fix schools (LAist)

California voters approved Proposition 2 on Election Night in 2024, sending $10 billion toward school construction and renovation, $8.5 for K-12. Sara Hinkley, CC+S California program manager, offered perspective on what the vote means in the long run.

“We’ve underfunded facilities for so long that even this much-needed influx of state and local funding isn’t enough to get schools up to where we think they should be in terms of quality,” Hinkley said.
