AB2295 signed by California Governor Newsom to streamline education workforce housing

On September 28, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom signed 38 housing bills into law – including Assembly Bill 2295 (Bloom). AB2295 streamlines the development of affordable and mixed income housing for teachers and support staff of California’s K-12 public schools on public land, opening development opportunities statewide. CC+S’s 2021 report, Education Workforce Housing in California: Developing the 21st Century Campus informed the bill’s focus.
