Source notes

Data from the following sources are included:

• California Department of Education (CDE)—historic enrollment data by district (1998-2025) and current year district demographic data and unduplicated student counts (2024-2025)
• School Facility Program (SFP) data by district and year, including both OPSC portal data and Proposition 2 apportionments, from 1998-present
• California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission (CDIAC)—data on school district bond issuances
• Eastshore Consulting LLC—assessed property value data by district for most recent available year (2023-2024)
• Turner Construction Cost Index—annual index values from 1998-2025
